    DR. MARK C. SEGERSTROM

    SERVING GREATER PORTLAND SINCE 1991

Dr. Segerstrom earned the Eagle Scout award in Boy Scouting as a fifteen year old. He attended the University of Nebraska and Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport,  Iowa. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Segerstrom graduated with honors from Palmer College.

His wife and he moved to Maine in 1990 to live the "good life." He established A Better Way Chiropractic, P.C. in 1991 and has been in practice since. Currently they have a child in middle school and high school and are very active with youth sports.

In the office, Dr. Segerstrom offers gentle chiropractic manipulation. Manipulation of the spine improves nutrition to the discs and other joints, reduces the risk of back injury and degeneration of the spine.

Many athletes seek regular chiropractic care because they find it improves their performance and reduces the risk of injury. Some studies suggest chiropractic can improve athletic ability, agility, balance, kinesthetic awareness, power and speed reaction time. Perhaps professional athletes are the most familiar with their bodies. For that reason, Dr. Segerstrom has had the privilege to treat several of the Portland Pirates, Ice Capades cast and World Wrestlers.
